Black Wolves Acquire McMichael From Stealth

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (October 12, 2016) – The New England Black Wolves have traded for Mitch McMichael from the Vancouver Stealth in exchange for Tye Belanger.

A native of Port Perry, Ont., McMichael spent three seasons with the Stealth after signing as a free agent in November of 2012. He has 28 points in 41 career games on six goals and 22 points to go along with 229 loose balls. In 10 games for the Stealth in 2016, McMichael had two assists, 51 loose balls and was 146-of-264 on faceoffs. A graduate of Cornell University, he wrapped up his career with 33 points and 53 ground balls while going 112-of-256 on faceoffs.

In two seasons with New England, Belanger saw action in 17 games in goal. In 2016, he had a 1-4 record while saving 169 shots. For his career, Belanger has a 8-10 record and a save percentage of .751.

The Black Wolves will open the 2017 season on January 7th at Rochester and will open their home schedule at Mohegan Sun Arena against the Buffalo Bandits on January 28th at 7 p.m. Until November 1st, the Black Wolves are offering a buy-one-get-one promotion on season tickets.
