Black Wolves Acquire Resetarits From Knighthawks

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (March 6, 2019) – The New England Black Wolves announced today that the team has acquired forward Joe Resetarits from the Rochester Knighthawks in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2022 NLL Entry Draft and a second-round selection in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft. The deal is pending league approval.

In his seventh season in the NLL, the 5-foot-11 right hander was a 2017-18 Second Team All-Pro after recording 100 points on 37 goals and 63 assists last season. That total is the most by any US born player in league history.

“Joe is someone we’ve had our eye on for a couple of years,” Black Wolves general manager Rich Lisk said. “We couldn’t be more excited to add such a dynamic and selfless player to the Pack. We believe Joe is a perfect fit on the field, but more importantly, he fits into the culture we have established with the Black Wolves as well.”

In 10 games with Rochester this season, Resetaris had 41 points with 15 goals and 26 assists. Selected sixth overall in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft by the Calgary Roughnecks, he has 364 points on 149 goals and 215 assists in 109 games over his career. A bronze medalist with Team USA at the 2015 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, Resetarits had a standout collegiate career at the University of Albany, where he wrapped up his senior season as the America East Player of the Year and an Honorable Mention All-American.

The Black Wolves will be in action next on Saturday, March 16 at Vancouver and will return home to face the Knighthawks on March 31. Game time is set for 1 p.m. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased by visiting or calling 844-LAX-WOLF.
