Black Wolves Fall To Bandits

Uncasville – Kevin Crowley had a hat trick and an assist but the Black Wolves fell to the Buffalo Bandits 20-7 on Friday night.
Vaughn Harris had nine points (four goals, five assists) to lead Buffalo (7-7) while Dhane Smith (two goals, six assists) had eight points.
Stephan Leblanc got the Black Wolves (6-6) on the board first, finding the back of the net just 1:05 into play. Buffalo answered seven seconds later to tie the game, and went up 2-1 7:19 into the game.
Callum Crawford scored from behind the goal with 6:56 to play in the frame to tie it, but the Bandits rattled off three goals in the closing minutes to take a 5-2 lead into the break.
Mitch Jones scored his third consecutive goal 7:29 into the second quarter to put Buffalo up 6-2. With 4.2 seconds left in the first half, Latrell Harris picked up his first of the night to put the Bandits up 7-2 to close out the half.
The Black Wolves opened the second half with Leblanc picking up his second just 25 seconds into play. Colton Watkinson scored on a break away just over two minutes to cut the Buffalo advantage to three, but Jordan Durston found the back of the net for Buffalo 1:13 later to put the Bandits back up by four at 8-4. That was the start of a 12-0 Bandit run that stretched into the fourth quarter.
Crowley picked up his first of the night 7:08 into the fourth to stop the Buffalo run, and added two more in the final four minutes to secure the hat trick.
New England will be back in action next on Saturday evening at Georgia. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
