Black Wolves Name Team Captains

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (January 6, 2017) – The New England Black Wolves have named Shawn Evans team captain while Brett Manney and Kyle Buchanan will serve as assistant captains.

Evans was team captain for the majority of the 2016 season, his first in New England, while Andrew Suitor was on injured reserve. Manney and Buchanan also served as assistant captains last season.

“They give a lot of different things,” Black Wolves head coach Glenn Clark said. “Shawn is very passionate and leads by example. Kyle and Brett lead by example as well, but they’re very good at being a conduit between the coaches and the players. They do a lot of the little things like making sure the players are ready for practice.  A lot of small things that might not be obvious to everyone, but are important.”

The Black Wolves, East Division Finalists in 2016, will open the 2017 season in Rochester on January 7th and will return to Mohegan Sun Arena on January 28th against Buffalo at 7 p.m. Season tickets, mini plans and holiday packs are on sale now. Tickets start as low as $15 and can be purchased by visiting blackwolves.com or calling 844-LAX-WOLF
