Black Wolves Offseason Round Up

It might be the NLL offseason, but that doesn’t mean that Black Wolves players are taking time off. A number of players are competing in leagues in both the United States and Canada. 

Three Black Wolves are playing for the Peterborough Lakers in Major Series Lacrosse – Matt Crough, Mark Farthing and Evan Kirk. Crough has seen action in six games with three goals and four assists for seven points. Farthing has played in 10 games for the Lakers, recording three points on one goal and two assists. In goal, Kirk has six wins on 201 saves in nine games.

Also in MSL, Jamie Lincoln has tallied 11 points on six goals and five assists in four games for the Burnaby Lakers while Sheldon Burns has three goals and one assist in 11 games for the Brooklin Redmen. Josh Johnson has 43 points on 18 goals and 25 assists in nine games for the first-place Six Nation Chiefs and in three games in goal for the Brampton Excelsiors Tye Belanger has two wins with 80 saves.

In the Western Lacrosse Association, Pat Saunders has 54 points in 14 games for the Langley Thunder. The forward has 24 goals and 30 assists.

Three members of the Black Wolves are playing in Major League Lacrosse across the United States – Kevin Buchanan, Mark Cockerton and Brian Megill. Megill has seen action in one game for the Chesapeake Bayhawks, while Buchanan has played in eight games for the Boston Cannons. He has 26 points on 18 goals and seven assists. Cockerton has scored three goals and dished out one assist in three games for the Rochester Rattlers.

Brett Bucktooth and Bill O’Brien are both playing for the Onadaga Red Hawks. O’Brien has seen action in six games with one goal and eight assists while Bucktooth has 22 points on six goals and 16 assists in four goals for the Red Hawks.
