Black Wolves Offseason Roundup

Kyle Buchanan had seven points on three assists and seven goals on June 8th as the Peterborough Lakers defeated the Brampton Excelsiors 28-7. The Black Wolves forward has 14 points – six goals, eight assists – in three Major Series Lacrosse games for the Lakers.

Black Wolves captain Shawn Evans is also playing for the Lakers this season. He had three goals and seven assists for 10 points in the win. Additionally, Evans is playing Major League Lacrosse this offseason with the Chesapeake Bayhawks. On June 10th he scored three goals and had one assist in a 17-16 loss to Rochester.

Also playing in the MLL this offseason are Kevin Buchanan (Boston Cannons) and Kevin Crowley (Charlotte Hounds). In four games for the Cannons, Buchanan has eight points, including six goals. He had two in a 13-12 loss to the Ohio Machine on June 10th. Crowley has 17 points for the Hounds in five games, including a three point performance (one goal, two assists) in an 18-12 win over Atlanta last weekend.

Reilly O’Connor is currently leading the MSL in scoring with 24 points for the Brooklin Redmen. The Black Wolves forward has scored eight goals and dished out 16 assists in four games so far this season.

Out west, Matt Spanger picked up his first goal as a member of the Burnaby Lakers last weekend. He has four points in five games for the WLA squad. Sheldon Burns is also playing in the WLA this offseason and has three points on two goals and one assist in five games for the Victoria Shamrocks.
