Black Wolves Sign Crawford

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (July 17, 2018) – The New England Black Wolves have signed veteran forward Callum Crawford to a two-year deal, pending league approval.

Crawford had 35 points on 15 goals and 20 assists in nine games for the Black Wolves last season after being acquired from Buffalo via trade in February. The 6-foot-3 forward is a two-time NLL All-Pro and has 864 points (309 goals, 555 assists) in 189 career games. His 555 assists ranks ninth all-time in NLL history.

“We are very excited to have Callum back with the Pack,” Black Wolves General Manager Rich Lisk said. “He is one of the elite players in the NLL, and as an unrestricted free agent he had the opportunity to go to any team. He chose to stay in New England. Callum believes in what we are doing and I look forward to bringing a championship to New England with him.”

Crawford, who was selected 18th overall in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft, had a career-best 36 goals during the 2017 season. In 2016, he had 83 assists and a career-high 115 points. His assist total tied what was then the NLL single-season record.

“How much they actively pursued and wanted me to be a member of this team (prior to the trade) meant a lot to me,” Crawford said. “That desire meant a lot to me and I love the vision that this team has. They care about their players. It’s a family and I wanted to continue to be a part of that family.”

New England finished 9-9 during the 2017-18 regular season and was eliminated in the East Division semifinals at Rochester. Season tickets for the 2018-19 season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 844-LAX-WOLF.
