Black Wolves Sign Crowley, Bold

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (September 20, 2017) – The New England Black Wolves signed veterans Kevin Crowley and Aaron Bold to one-year contracts Wednesday, pending league approval.

No terms were released.

Entering his eighth season in the NLL, Crowley had a career-high 45 goals with 40 assists, 85 points and 80 loose balls last year for the Black Wolves. He has appeared in 100 games with 206 goals, 251 assists, 457 points and 414 loose balls.

“We are very excited to have one of our cornerstones back,” Black Wolves General Manager Rich Lisk said. “Kevin has been an offensive force for us the last two years, and he helps cement our right side. We are extremely happy to have him back with the pack!”

Acquired in an offseason trade with the Saskatchewan Rush, Bold is a 12-year NLL veteran who was 11-4 with 565 saves and a goals-against average of 11.22 last season. A three-time NLL All-Pro selection, he helped lead the Rush to three straight NLL Champions Cups from 2015-17. Bold had a 9.39 goals-against when the Rush won the Cup in 2015, and a 9.50 goals-against in the 2016 Cup as Saskatchewan repeated as league champion.

Bold has 3,776 saves in 179 games with a career record of 71-39 during the regular season. In the playoffs, he is 13-7 in 24 games with 658 saves.

“It’s great to get Aaron officially signed,” Lisk said. “He is an elite goaltender in this league and has won multiple Champions Cups. We are excited not only by having him on the field, but also what he brings to our locker room – veteran presence and winning attitude”
