Black Wolves Sign Former Johns Hopkins Star

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (October 23, 2015) – The New England Black Wolves have signed John Ranagan to a one-year contract.

The signing is pending league approval. Terms were not released.

A former two-time All American at Johns Hopkins, where he collected 57 goals and 35 assists, Ranagan earned a spot on the Philadelphia Wings roster as a rookie in 2014. He played in 17 games, collecting four goals and six assists. He sat out the 2015 season with the Black Wolves.

Ranagan was selected in the third round of the 2013 Major League Lacrosse draft by the Rochester Rattlers. In two MLL seasons, Ranagan has 31 goals and 10 assists.

The Black Wolves open the 2016 NLL season January 9th in Vancouver before returning to Connecticut for its home opener against the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday, January 15th at 7 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena.
