Black Wolves Sign Three

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (August 1, 2017) – The New England Black Wolves have signed three players for the upcoming season.

Forwards Garrett Thul and Martin Bowes along with defenseman Derek Searle have all signed one-year contacts. As per team policy, no details were released.

In his first season with New England in 2017, Searle saw action in 11 games. He had four points on one goal and three assists while also scooping up 52 loose balls and causing 10 turnovers.

Thul saw action in 16 games for the Philadelphia Wings during the 2014 season, scoring 21 goals and dishing out 12 assists while scooping up 41 loose balls. A member of the Army, Thul has also spent time playing in Major League Lacrosse since 2013.

Bowes signed a free agent contract with the Black Wolves prior to the 2017 season before being waived at the end of training camp. This summer, he played in nine games for the Florida Launch in the MLL, scoring three goals while grabbing 12 loose balls.
