Knighthawks Preview: 4 Things To Know

On Wednesday the Black Wolves made a flurry of roster moves. Dave Emala and Adam Perroni were activated from the practice squad, while John LaFontaine was moved to injured reserve. Quinn Powless was signed to take a practice roster spot and Seth Oakes was released from the active roster.

Heading into Saturday’s game, forwards Stephan Leblanc and Callum Crawford are holding onto some impressive streaks. Leblanc, who had four assists in Georgia, has recorded a point in 35 consecutive games dating back to February 25, 2017. Crawford has scored at least one goal in 22 consecutive games dating to December 20, 2017. He had three in the loss at Georgia on February 1.

On February 1, the Black Wolves fell 10-8 in Georgia, dropping the season series between the two clubs. Callum Crawford and Reilly O’Connor each had hat tricks in the loss for New England, with Crawford also adding two assists and O’Connor recording three.

In Georgia, Alex Buque was again a solid force net for the Black Wolves, recording a season-best 41 saves while giving up just nine goals in the loss. He has a 10.78 goals against average on the season in five games and has 137 saves. With that total, he is on pace for 466 on the season, which would be the second-highest total of his career.
