UNCASVILLE, CT. (November 25, 2019) – The New England Black Wolves announced today the complete roster for the 2019-20 NLL season. Brett Manney has also been named team captain, alongside assistant captains Stephan LeBlanc and John LaFontaine.
The Black Wolves return a key group of veterans that have been together since the 2018 season. Manney, who has seen action in 85 of the Black Wolves 90 regular season games since arriving in New England, will continue to anchor the defense. The Philadelphia native collected 51 loose balls and caused 13 turnovers in New England’s 9-9 campaign.
Callum Crawford, who scored a team-high 48 goals a season ago, spearheads the office along with LeBlanc, who led the team with 66 assists and also netted 27 goals.
Also returning as solid contributors to The Pack’s offense are Reilly O’Connor and Joe Resetarits. O’Connor enters his fourth season after adding 76 points to the team’s 542 point total. Resetarits joined the team in early March during the 2018-19 campaign and appeared in seven games. In his short time with New England, he tallied 13 of his 28 goals and recorded 11 of his 39 assists.
On the back end, the Black Wolves bring back third year star Colton Watkinson, Jackson Nishimura, John LaFontaine and Mackenzie Mitchell. Together they collected 229 loose balls. In the net, Doug Jamieson will start with Ethan Woods in add relief.
Rounding out the returning group is Dave Emala, Dereck Downs, Nick Chaykowsky and Adam Bomberry.
Balancing out this year’s roster is the newcomers, which includes Andrew Kew, the third pick overall in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft. Kew comes from the University of Tampa where he led his team each season in goals scored. In addition to Kew, New England welcomes Jordan Durston, Anthony Malcom, Ty Logan, Joe Nardella and Creighton Reid.
Practice players include Baily Brown, Tristan Rai, Mike Byrne and Joel Tinney. Brown and Rai join New England after being selected in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft.
