Offseason Roundup: Volume 6

For the third time in five seasons, Shawn Evans wrapped up the Major Series Lacrosse regular season as the league’s top scorer. He finished with 103 points for the Peterbough Lakers and was followed by teammate Kyle Buchanan with 94 points. Fellow Black Wolf Reilly O’Connor finished fourth on the list with 77 points for the Brooklin Redmen.

Last week, Evans had eight points on one goal and seven assists in a 18-5 win over Koburg while Kyle Buchanan added two goals and five assists in the victory. O’Connor had 10 points on three goals and seven assists in two victories for Brooklin.

In Major League Lacrosse action, Kevin Buchanan had two goals and one assist in the Boston Cannons’ 18-17 loss to the Florida Launch. Kevin Crowley had three goals and two assists in a win for the Charlotte Hounds. Crowley also played in one game for the New Westminster Salmonbellies, scoring one goal and dishing out five assists in an 11-7 victory over Maple Ridge.

Recently named Junior A Goaltender of the Year, Doug Jamieson has allowed just 5.81 goals per game and saved 85% of the shots he has faced.
