Three Black Wolves Earn League Honors

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (July 17, 2017) – Three members of the New England Black Wolves earned All-NLL honors, the league announced today.

Forward Kevin Crowley and transition player Jay Thorimbert each earned All-Pro Second Team honors while defender Joel Coyle was named to the All-Rookie Team.

Crowley set a new single-season career high for goals with 45 in 2017 and surpassed 200 for his career. The forward led the team in goals and scored in all 18 games during the regular season for New England. It is the first such honor of his career.

In his first season with the Black Wolves, Thorimbert led the league with 302 faceoff wins for the third consecutive year and also wrapped up the season leading the league with 192 loose balls for the second time in three seasons. Against Vancouver on April 20th, Thorimbert became just the third player in NLL history to reach 2,000 faceoff wins in his career.

Coyle saw action in 10 games for the Black Wolves, scooping up 58 loose balls while causing 10 turnovers. He also had nine points on two goals and seven assists to go along with 16 penalty minutes.
